This role is ideal for a modern brand builder who blends creative instinct with analytical rigor and knows how to turn product truth (clean ingredients, great taste, real nutrition) into crave-worthy brand moments that drive trial, loyalty, and growth.
The Brand Director will own end-to-end brand leadership, from positioning and storytelling to integrated campaigns, launches, and real-world activation.
Sitting at the intersection of brand strategy, product marketing, creative development, experiential marketing, and data, this role ensures Amylu shows up consistently and compellingly across social, experiential, and earned channels.
This is a highly cross-functional leadership role, partnering closely with the Director of Integrated Marketing, Creative Director, and Sales to ensure brand initiatives support velocity, innovation, and long-term brand equity.

- Own Amylu’s brand strategy, positioning, and ongoing evolution within the better-for-you protein category
- Serve as the steward of Amylu’s visual identity, voice, and messaging across campaigns, PR, social, and experiential
- Translate product truth — clean ingredients, protein content, nutrition, and flavor — into clear, compelling brand storytelling that resonates with modern consumers
- Ensure brand consistency while allowing flexibility to evolve with category trends, retailer needs, and consumer behavior
Integrated Campaigns & Go-to-Market Leadership
- Lead integrated brand and product campaigns from brief through launch and optimization across retail, organic social, PR, influencer, and experiential
- Partner with the Shopper team on the annual and quarterly brand marketing calendar, aligning innovation launches, seasonal moments, and retailer priorities
- Partner with Sales and Shopper Marketing to ensure strong on-shelf storytelling, launch support, and brand presence in-store and online
Experiential, Social, Influencer & Earned Media
- Define and execute Amylu’s brand activation strategy, including trade shows (e.g., Expo West, AMC), sampling programs, events, partnerships, and community engagement
- Lead organic social and influencer strategy to drive education, appetite appeal, engagement, and advocacy
- Partner with PR to drive earned media, product placement, and cultural moments that build awareness and credibility in the food and wellness space
Creative & Production Leadership
- Partner with the Creative Director to plan and execute brand photoshoots and content production (campaign, lifestyle, product), ensuring strong creative direction, timelines, and budget management
- Lead PR, social, and experiential agencies with a clear point of view and high executional standards
- Ensure all creative work balances appetite appeal, clarity, compliance, and brand consistency
Business Impact & Measurement
- Own brand and top-of-funnel marketing budgets, allocating resources strategically to support growth and brand health
- Define KPIs for brand awareness, trial, engagement, and contribution to velocity and innovation performance
- Use data, insights, and retail feedback to refine campaigns and improve impact over time
Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead, coach, and develop brand, social, and experiential team members, fostering strong performance, growth, and accountability
- Collaborate closely with Marketing, Sales, R&D, and others to align brand initiatives with launches, retail strategy, and operational realities
- Act as a confident brand leader internally — influencing cross-functionally and making thoughtful, decisive calls
Process & Procedures
- Stand up and own brand marketing processes and procedures, including briefing workflows, campaign planning templates, approval processes, and cross-functional intake systems to enable efficient, consistent execution at scale
- Build and implement launch readiness checklists and go-to-market workflows that align Marketing, Sales, R&D, and Operations around key milestones, deliverables, and timelines
- Create repeatable reporting frameworks and performance review cadences to track brand KPIs, campaign results, and budget utilization, translating insights into actionable recommendations

- Deep understanding of modern food brand building — including social, influencer, experiential, and earned media
- Strong creative taste with the ability to tell clear, compelling product-led stories
- Data-driven and commercially minded, with comfort measuring brand impact and performance
- Experienced people leader and agency partner who elevates work through clarity, trust, and accountability
- Thrives in fast-paced, growth-stage environments where priorities evolve
- Passion for food, nutrition, and how consumers shop, cook, and eat
