Content Strategist
Banza
Location: New York, NY
Who We Are: Banza reimagines your favorite comfort foods, like pasta, pizza, mac & cheese and waffles, using chickpeas. Why? Because we know chickpeas aren’t just delicious, they’re also one of the most nutritious and sustainable foods. Yet 80% of the country isn’t eating enough of them. Our mission is to inspire people to eat more chickpeas and other beans, making a positive impact on human health and the environment. Banza is the fastest-growing pasta brand in the country, and our products are available in 27,000 stores nationwide. We’ve been named one of TIME Magazine’s Best Inventions of the Year, Adweek’s Best Food Brand, and are proud to have fans at Good Morning America, The New York Times, Food & Wine, Bon Appetit, and more.
Your Mission: Banza has built a social media presence around helping people celebrate their love for pasta, pizza, and all of the delicious comfort foods we make. We’re looking for someone who can take this to the next level and continue to build awareness and brand love across social media by developing, executing, and constantly iterating on a strategic approach to the most important channels. As the social landscape rapidly changes, we need someone who is extremely tapped into social media culture and can help us stay ahead of the algorithm, curating engaging content, and crafting it all around an approach that generates fan love and excitement for Banza.
What you will do:
- Own and optimize strategy and content calendar across all social media channels, including but not limited to Instagram, TikTok, Reddit, X, and LinkedIn
- Immerse yourself in key communities across Instagram, Reddit, Facebook Groups, and TikTok to keep a finger on the pulse for what people think about Banza and other products in the categories we play in.
- Curate all content for our owned channels, working with influencer partners and external resources to secure it as necessary
- Do light photo/video filming and editing as needed to ensure we have the content we need to win
- Provide thought leadership on current trends and best practices in social media, staying ahead of what’s expected and pivoting quickly to address algorithmic changes
- Analyze performance on an ongoing basis, reporting learnings consistently and delivering reports on a monthly basis
Who you are:
- 4+ years in social media management in a similar role at a food/beverage company, or as a content creator
- Deeply tapped into culture/the social zeitgeist. A creative tastemaker who is always one step ahead of what’s trending and knows how to quickly execute on a vision to get what they want
- A proactive, solutions-oriented, organized self-starter who is used to working autonomously, can manage and prioritize their workload, and is excited to translate our brand persona, audience goals, and launch moments into a plan that continuously feels fresh and unique
- Experience managing business/brand accounts on relevant social media channels
- A creative storyteller with the ability to develop channel-specific, thumb-stopping content
- Proven track record of building engaged social communities and driving audience growth
- Someone who’s excited by the challenge of figuring out how to break through as a brand on social media and takes action accordingly
- A “why-first” thinker: Someone who can offer strong and data-led rationales for their recommendations
- Must be willing to come into our NYC office 2x per week
- Passionate about what Banza’s doing!

Please make sure to include a portfolio of relevant work experience, like social profiles you've managed. If you have any questions, please email jobs@eatbanza.com.

Our salary ranges are based on verified market data and our philosophy of paying competitively for our size and industry. We expect the majority of the candidates who are offered roles at our company to fall healthily throughout the range based on these factors. The salary band for this role is $70,000-$90,000. The range is for the expectations as laid out in the job description, however, we are often open to a wide variety of profiles, and recognize that the person we hire may be less experienced (or more senior) than this job description as posted.
