Position Summary
We are currently looking for an analytical, collaborative and organized Senior Accountant to join our dynamic, high-growth skincare company, Naturium. This candidate is responsible for day-to-day operations of AR, posting of journal entries, account reconciliations, audit and other ad-hoc projects. The Senior Accountant applies experience and knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports. This position will be based in either our West Hollywood or Oakland corporate headquarters which is currently open in a hybrid model.
Responsibilities:
· Assist in managing the monthly and annual financial statement closing process and reviews preliminary results for variances, reasonability, etc.
· Maintain the general ledger. Prepare journal entries posting and monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts such as AP/AR, bank reconciliations, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and other accrued expenses. Ensure all balance sheet accounts are reconciled and accurate.
· Establish a new OPEX and sales allowances accrual process which includes working closely with the FP&A Analyst and business leaders monthly.
· Prepare monthly schedules and work papers for various balance sheet and income statement accounts, ensuring documentation is accurate and organized
· Work with vendors and operations teams to clear open vendor deposits and accrued purchases related to purchases of inventory.
· Assist with establishing and maintaining corporate accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure conformance with US GAAP and SOX laws/regulations.
· Initiate processes and streamline existing processes for efficiency and to sustain future growth of enterprise.
· Contribute during external audits, which may include submitting requests and coordination to ensure audit timelines are met, and escalating issues as they arise.
· Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned.
Requirements:
· B.S./B.A. in Finance, Accounting or equivalent; MBA a plus.
· 3 years of experience in Consumer Products or Retail, with public accounting experience required.
· CPA is a plus with 3+ years of audit experience from a global or national CPA firm
· Experience in a consumer products company or retailer dealing with trade spending a plus
· Inventory experience a plus
· Excellent knowledge and application of US GAAP
· Advanced knowledge and experience in Excel and proficiency in Microsoft Office
· Strong project management skills
· Direct experience with Accounting ERP systems (NetSuite or SAP), and Bill.com

$80,000 - $100,000 a year
