The position will report to the Director, Americas Visual Merchandising.

Role Overview

This role will support Visual Merchandising for the Americas region, reporting to the Director, Americas Visual Merchandising. This individual is expected to execute and lead the development of creative work that is aligned with our forward-thinking brand goals and has meaningful and measurable impact. They will partner closely with the Americas Marketing Team to consistently elevate our current OPEN-SELL models.

The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of the current North America retail landscape and trends and has proven experience aligning assortment strategy with planogram direction. They must also have a keen understanding of the importance of Messaging Hierarchies to ensure the consumer is being served up the right information at the right time. This person should be fascinated and inspired by the momentum of the digital world, creatively aware of everything current and emerging, and broadly in-tune with social media and the impact it has on consumer behavior and retail experiences.

Overall Responsibilities:

VISUAL MERCHANDISING DEVELOPMENT

  • Develop and maintain seasonal merchandising guidelines to the highest possible standards for the Americas markets
  • Support the Director, Americas VM with in-store initiatives are strategically aligned with the Global brand vision
  • Ongoing Maintenance and Updating of Open-Sell systems in North America
  • Deep dive into marketing briefs, regional insights, and opportunities to lead teams to effective ideas and concepts
  • Initiate and develop tools to aid market with new collateral launches and new VM principles
  • Meet all timelines and ensure delivery of executions for stakeholder review. Manage expectations cross-functionally when timelines are not favorable to proper processes and executional standards
  • Responsible for current knowledge and understanding of emerging trends, best practices and new retail frontiers and bringing break thru opportunities to the table
  • Ability to manage various fast-paced workstreams with confidence

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in relevant industry. Some beauty experience required.
  • Background in Industrial Design, Merchandising, Architecture and/or Art Direction
  • Elevated taste, keen design sensibilities and the ability to whole-heartedly deep dive into everything Brazilian to meaningfully contribute to the expanding material, spatial and fixturing language of the brand
  • Software Requirements: Adobe Indesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and Rhino.
  • A deep knowledge of print design and print production.
  • Understanding of branding and graphic storytelling within the retail environment.
  • Understanding of vendor specifications and technical drawings.
  • Proficient in planogramming and knowledge of 3D dimensional structures and spaces.
  • Career track record that shows the candidate has a strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and to meet deadlines using excellent organizational skills, quality execution and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to articulate ideas clearly and concisely – ability to provide and receive constructive feedback that is necessary to improve designs.
  • Ability to be flexible and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be highly collaborative with ability to understand the objectives of all cross-functional partners and work toward a design that meets that need and upholds the creative integrity of the brand.
  • Must be comfortable working a hybrid schedule (remote & 1-2 days / week in our New York City office).

Salary Range

$125,000—$135,000 USD

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with the possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
