We are looking for someone who loves operations, gets excited about problem solving with various cross functional teams, and is passionate about building relationships.

The position will report to the Executive Director of Supply Chain and they will partner with various stakeholders to support our Visual Merchandising, Marketing and overall indirect sourcing needs throughout Sol de Janeiro.

The Indirect Procurement Manager is responsible for overseeing the procurement of goods and services not directly related to the core business operations. Key responsibilities include vendor management, cost negotiation, strategic sourcing, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies. The role involves collaborating with various departments to understand their procurement needs, optimizing supplier relationships, and implementing cost-effective procurement strategies. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential for successful collaboration with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers.

We are looking for a someone who is comfortable working a hybrid schedule, at least 1 day per week, in our NYC Office.

Overall Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate long term and blanket contracts.
  • Research vendors to determine the best options and make recommendations by evaluating total cost and quality of indirect materials and services.
  • Source suppliers, develop suppliers, and build mutual beneficial relationships with suppliers.
  • Develop strategic sourcing / purchasing plans that support the future profitability of the business.
  • Analyze current spend and find areas to improve service, reduce costs, and streamline purchasing procedures.
  • Work closely with Marketing, Creative, Visual Merchandising, Supply Chain and Finance to identify areas of need, areas of improvement and overall areas of development.
  • Find creative cost-outs in purchasing policies and with vendor processes.
  • Highly involved with sourcing and procuring capital equipment, integral of capital investment team.
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for highest spend, greatest complexity, and most critical/strategic categories.
  • Ensure tactical execution of purchasing activities to meet routine business needs.
  • Provide direction and support to teams for initiatives critical to the business.
  • Identify and leverage company-wide spend opportunities.
  • Develop implementation strategy, responsibility assignments, communication plans, and timelines.
  • Conduct thorough spend analysis, develop methodology and metrics tools to track progress.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders to gather category requirements and specifications from departments and category subject matter experts.

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, Procurement or related fields
  • 3-5+ years' experience in either Procurement or Supply Chain fields related to Indirect procurement
  • Advanced Excel skills required.
  • Attention to detail – must analyze many pieces of data on a global organizational level to asses strategy.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to operate effectively and efficiently on an independent level
  • A strong business sense and experience operating in small to medium-sized business environment.
  • Net Suite experience is preferred.
  • Beauty Industry experience is preferred.
  • Must be comfortable working a hybrid schedule, at least 1 day per week, in our NYC Office.

Salary Range

$100,000—$125,000 USD

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with the possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
