The ESG Coordinator will support and be the data collection point person in Sol de Janeiro's ESG commitments, including social governance and sustainability with an eye to both product and corporate, the creation of a fitting CSR strategy and internal advocacy.

This role reports to the Director, ESG & Brand Governance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Advance Sol de Janeiro's commitment to the health and wellbeing of both people and planet by supporting the execution of the annual ESG strategy with honesty, integrity and transparency
• Balance the successful completion of multiple initiatives to the highest standards as established by the Executive Director and informed by the broader organization
• Act as a project manager for ESG projects, ensuring deadlines and cross-functional execution are met and delivered on time and on budget
• Coordinate data collection from multiple stakeholders for certifications (B Corp, PETA, Leaping Bunny, etc.), mid and full-year ESG reporting, and internal strategy development
• Manage program documentation and payments to support philanthropic giving and corporate donation strategies, communicating with NGO partners and local organizations as needed
• Support retail partners by maintaining product and corporate ESG data on third-party platforms and completing sustainability surveys as requested
• Create the annual ESG deliverables calendar and manage invites for reoccurring cross-functional team meetings

QUALIFICATIONS

• Undergraduate college degree required, preferred focus on sciences, sustainability or supply chain
• 1-2+ years relevant work experience
• Highly organized and focused while able to multi-task and adapt to changing priority levels for ongoing projects
• Must be adept in time management, execution, follow up, and have an attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively across functions, to work independently, and to take initiative when appropriate.
• Open to constructive feedback and revisions on work
• Flexible on work responsibilities and priorities
• Proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Goal oriented with a positive "can do" attitude
• Must be able to come into the New York office at least 1x per week
  
  

Salary Range

$65,000—$70,000 USD

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with the possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
