Sol de Janeiro is looking for beauty lovers to join our 2024 Summer Internship Program. Our goal is to provide an enriching and rewarding learning experience that will allow you to gain valuable opportunities to learn and grow, collaborate with your colleagues, and gain valuable hands on experience at our rapidly growing brand!
The Global Visual Merchandising Intern will be involved in all development stages of Global VM Projects. Special emphasis will be placed on pulling together and updating various components of our Evergreen VM Guidebook. Specific tasks within this project will include, but not limited to: gathering inspiration references, helping to create mood boards, maintaining reference libraries, and assistance with concept development. This person will assist all VM team members at all levels with various parts of VM guideline development. This role will report into the Manager, Global Visual Merchandising. This internship is based in our New York City Headquarters. The program dates are June 4th to August 20th (12 weeks). The pay range for this position is $16/hour.

The Global Visual Merchandising Intern will work on the following:
- Ensure each task goal is clear and quickly recap next steps in own words with the requester to be sure the request is fully understood.
- Collaborate with VM team to create database of execution photos for internal use. Help prepare recap presentations using the execution photos.
- Research relevant trends, topics and prepare insights in professional and concise format for sharing with the broader team.
- Integrate into team workflow and willingly jump in and help wherever help is needed.
- Self-identify when you're ready to take on something new or see something happening that you feel you can contribute to or add value to.
- Respond to all requests with professionalism.

Sol de Janeiro's Internship Program requirements:
- You are a student at an accredited University or College
- You are local to the NYC area for a 12-week internship program
- You have interest in the business areas listed above with some relevant coursework, student clubs, and/or internship experience
- Excellent organizational, writing and communication skills
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Powerpoint
