Responsible for managing and leading Sol de Janeiro's Amazon U.S. and UK digital merchandising strategy and execution in collaboration with the Amazon team.

This role will report to the Director, Amazon Marketing

Merchandising:

  • Develop and execute strong brand presence and narrative across all Amazon listings/ brand stores. Create an immersive online shopping experience effectively communicating the brand's values and product offerings.
  • Oversee merchandising efforts across all product listings, brand stores, and future global market expansion.
  • Lead strategy building for all marketing/merchandising in collaboration with Senior Manager of Amazon Marketing. Identifying opportunities for improvements across messaging, positioning, and the customer journey, with an emphasis on consumer-centric thinking.
  • Partner with DTC team to ensure seamless merchandising experience across the entire SDJ ecommerce ecosystem
  • Lead Brand Store strategy in partnership with Marketing team, aligning with Global efforts and optimizing as needed.
  • Drive the expansion, improvement, and simplification of merchandising processes within the Amazon team and in collaboration with other departments.
  • Working closely with various cross functional teams including Marketing, Global, Creative, Amazon Operations and Product Development.
  • Focus on improving key performance metrics including conversion rate (CVR), average order value (AOV), and basket building.
  • Partner effectively with external Amazon team to troubleshoot and solve issues, improve customer journey, and foster strong relationship.
  • Track competitive trends, new opportunities, and improve upon existing matrices.

Customer Service:

  • Lead Assistant Manager in the development of Amazon Customer Service processes and improvements.
  • Develop CX responses, SOPs, in tandem with other CX teams.

Creative Management:

  • Implementing calendarization of asset refresh needs, over-arching brand messaging. Coordinating with all teams to gather necessary elements in a timely manner.
  • Oversee creative upload and management processes for all Amazon properties.
  • Build and develop UK Amazon channel in partnership with international team, Amazon internal UK teams, and Global.

Reporting and Data Analysis:

  • Continuously analyze, report on, and implement SEO optimizations across Amazon owned pages ensuring cohesiveness with Product Marketing teams; provide insights for Amazon Marketing team to improve Paid Media strategy.
  • Collaborate with Director of Amazon on developing KPIs for Merchandising efforts to better inform over-arching Marketing strategy and business health.
  • Report on marketplace trends, identify areas of improvement and new opportunities for the brand.
  • Regularly track and report on KPIs to gage performance and gather insights for improvement.
  • Report out on product sales data, product trends, and mix of business performance vs targets and provide action plans necessary to change, improve and optimize product performance to Director of Amazon and greater team
  • Continuous competitive awareness of other brands in the Beauty space, and regular checks with Amazon platform external teams on any new offerings.
  • Gather insights and be curious about Beauty digital marketplaces across the EU (starting with the UK) to identify opportunities for growth.

Job Requirements/ Qualifications

  • 5-8+ years of experience working in Digital Marketing, Digital Merchandising or Media Agency
  • Proven experience in a Merchandising role or similar exposure within a CPG/ E-commerce company (beauty-preferred)
  • Experience with Amazon Seller Central, Amazon storefronts and product listings (preferred)
  • Experience and interest in using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
  • Proven experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership and cross functional teams
  • 3+ years of experience using Microsoft Excel
  • Highly-organized, detail-oriented, interested in SOP creation, optimization and ownership
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, working effectively across departments, and fostering a positive, flexible, and solutions-driven attitude
  • Curious, proactive, and demonstrating a keen interest in understanding E-commerce and the Beauty industry
  • Self-motivated, able to work both independently and collaboratively within a remote team
  • Demonstrates commitment to fostering a highly supportive and team-oriented workplace culture

Salary Range

$110,000—$130,000 USD

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with the possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
