JOB TITLE:         Project Manager

REPORTS TO:     Head of Operations

DEPARTMENT:  Operations

OVERVIEW

The Project Manager is responsible for fastidiously managing the timely evolution of all development projects from initiation to completion, including new product launches, product line extensions, promo collections/sets, sampling and re-formulation/repackaging projects for the Summer Fridays brand. They will lead weekly cross-functional team status meetings and follow up as necessary to ensure that all milestones are met. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional project management and communication skills and thrive in a constantly evolving, fast-paced environment. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and manage all product/promotion/sampling development workplans and timelines, ensuring that critical launch milestones are met and information is communicated as necessary to key stakeholders
•   Manage all repackaging/reformulation/tech transfer timelines to ensure seamless transition
•   Manage development project tracker to ensure that all timely completion of key milestones
•  Lead weekly cross-functional PD/Ops status meetings
• Keep all responsible departments and individuals on track with deliverables, clearly communicating risks and finding opportunities and defining specific action plans/contingencies to meet deadlines when obstacles occur
• Update and maintain master templates for every type of project, to ensure consistency and thoroughness
• Create a post-mortem evaluation system and performance metrics for key milestones to analyze all product launches and determine root causes of project delays to improve the overall system
•  Create and maintain SOP’s within the scope of project management responsibility
• Develop tools, forms, trackers, platforms as necessary to facilitate and improve the project management function
• Other assignments/projects as necessary

REQUIREMENTS

•  7+ years of Project Management experience in CPG, Beauty, or equivalent industry
•  BA/BS in Project Management, Business Administration, or equivalent
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (desired)
• Exceptional project management skills
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and tasks with precision and detail
• Demonstrable experience working with and leading cross-functional teams
•  Solid problem-solving skills, analytical skills and business acumen
• Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal skills
• Flexible personality to take on new challenges as they come and to switch gears immediately when necessary
• Strong working knowledge of MS Suite products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and project management platforms
• Must be based in Los Angeles, CA
• Salary range: $80,000 - $100,000 per year
