JOB TITLE: Assistant Manager, Events

REPORTS TO: Senior Manager, Events + Partnerships

DEPARTMENT: Brand Marketing

OVERVIEW

The Assistant Manager, Events supports all brand, influencer + PR events. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Events + Partnerships, this role is responsible for assisting with all planning, logistics, and execution of all events and activations with the ultimate goal of bringing our community best-in-class experiences and building brand engagement.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support all aspects of Summer Fridays brand events overseeing end-to-end event execution – from creative concept to production to execution to post event recaps.
  • Partner closely cross functionally with Marketing Team (Brand, Influencer + PR and Retail Marketing) to assist with planning needs across global brand events.
  • Lead day-to-day vendor communication for all touch points of events – including fabrication, photographers, legal, etc.
  • Manage ROS, Event Program Schedule and lead set-up and tear down of all event programming.
  • Work with external PR agencies, retail partners and production vendors to discuss event goals and establish key milestones within the programs ensuring proper timelines and budgets are tracked.
  • Ensure all cross-functional team members and outside vendors are on track with deliverables, clearly communicating risks, finding opportunities and defining specific action plans/contingencies to meet deadlines when obstacles occur.
  • Lead routing and tracking of assets for all event programs — including renderings, event specific campaign imagery, merch designs etc.
  • Manage cross-functional feedback, gathering all team feedback into one document for streamlined communication.
  • Partner closely with the global PR and Influencer Team to execute all press and influencer events in respective markets.
  • Support philanthropic events from concept to completion with Brand Marketing.
  • Offer internal team and external partnership event support as assigned.
  • Update and maintain events tracker on a weekly basis aligned within the Master Marketing Calendar.
  • Manage storage unit and ensure it remains organized pre and post events.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned and applicable.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3+ years of experience in event support, marketing or partnerships. Beauty and start up experience is a plus!
  • BA/BS degree in Marketing or related discipline
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Passion for skincare and beauty
  • Keeps a pulse on current/trending events and activations
  • Strong knowledge of Google Suite including slides, sheets etc., Microsoft Suite, Keynote, Adobe Suite, and Figma
  • Eager and positive attitude
  • A strong self-starter with the ability to be forward thinking
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tight timelines at once
  • Creativity and desire to think out of the box
  • Collaborative and open-minded mentality who would thrive in a fast paced environment
  • Must be based in Los Angeles
  • Must be available occasionally outside of business hours to support events on the ground
  • Must be available occasionally to travel outside of Los Angeles to support events on the ground
