JOB TITLE: Manager, Forecasting & Analytics

REPORTS TO: Director, Forecasting & Analytics

DEPARTMENT: Sales

OVERVIEW

The Forecasting & Analytics Manager will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining a channel and SKU level forecast for select accounts with a key emphasis on forecast accuracy to maximize sales and optimize in stocks. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented and embraces a fast-paced, often changing environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop a demand forecast at the category, collection and SKU level inclusive of core and seasonal products and one-time sales & marketing programs
  • Ensure forecast assumption accuracy through base business trends, promotional activity, new launch volume, VM & retrofit updates, channel expansion and seasonal volume
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, DTC teams to gather inputs and align on retail sales and sell in plans
  • Collaboration with Ops/ Supply Planning to ensure an executable supply plan is developed to meet forecast requirements
  • Works closely with Ops/ Supply Planning to understand known supply constraints or excess inventory risks to communicate with broader sales team and develop an allocation plan
  • Measure forecast accuracy with the goal to maximize sales while also minimizing OOS
  • Own new launch forecast for respective accounts to support all marketing and promotional strategies
  • Analyze historical sales data and future programming to achieve continuous improvement in demand plan accuracy
  • Update and circulate weekly and monthly business performance reports to key stakeholders
  • Participate in annual budget and reforecast process
  • Maintain retail sales data integrity through third party platform
  • Additional projects as required

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3–5 years of demand planning or merchandise planning experience, preferably in Beauty or CPG
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret quantitative and qualitative data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable recommendations
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including complex formulas, large datasets, and reporting
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, with experience communicating to cross-functional and senior audiences
  • Direct-to-consumer (DTC) planning experience is a plus
  • Flexible team player who thrives in a collaborative environment
  • Must be able to work in a hybrid capacity in Los Angeles, CA as defined by company policy.
